Gay Marriage in Canada
Last week Canada took a step toward being the 3rd country to allow gay marriages when the House of Commons gave its approval to the bill in 158 - 133 vote.
The same-sex bill is expected to become law next month after debate in the Senate where the Liberals outnumber the Conservatives.
Currently, Belgium and the Netherlands are the only 2 countries with same-sex marriage laws. Spain is also expected to pass a similar law which would then go to the King for approval.
Give me Breasts or give Death!
In Daytona Beach, Elizabeth Book was arrested for exposing her breasts next to 4 Grecian muse sculptures at the city auditorium. She did this to protest the city's law that prohibits women from going topless in public.
The city passed the law in 2002 in an effort to curtail indecency at special events.
Last week, a judge threw out nudity charges against Book for an incident during Bike Week in March 2004 citing her constitutional right of free-speech.
