Pheromone cologne: Fact or fiction?
Question: I'm a young man. I haven't been very successful attracting women. So I looked around on the Internet and found a product called pheromone cologne. I was wondering if women really like men wearing that stuff?
Answer: Pheromones are aromatic compounds that play a key role in animal sexuality. Over the past decade, human pheromones been identified and several companies have released fragrances containing them, with advertising saying that they may pique sexual attraction between humans. The key word here is MAY. Studies of pheromone-based perfumes to date are "intriguing but not persuasive," says Theresa Crenshaw, M.D., a San Diego sexuality researcher, who has experimented with pheromone fragrances herself. They produced "nothing noticeable" for her, however, others do report results with them. It's up to you to be the judge for yourself.
