Can you explain the attraction of water sports?

Question: My girlfriend likes to hold my penis while I pee. The other day, she let the pee run all over her hand. She said it felt good and got really turned on. Now she wants to try “water sports.” She wants me to pee all over her in the bath and when my erect penis is deep inside her vagina, she wants me to empty my full bladder inside her. She also wants to pee on me. It sounds very kinky to me. I wouldn’t mind trying it once or twice. The thought turns me on. But I’m not sure I want to make a regular thing of it. The other night, we had anal sex and she tried to get me to pee inside her anus after I came but I couldn’t because I was worried about its safety. Can you explain the attraction of water sports? Is it safe? I see no mention of this in your Q&A Archive.

Answer: "Water sports" involve urination during lovemaking. Typically, they involve watching a lover urinate, or one lover urinating on the other. Water sports are enjoyed by only a small fraction of lovers, which is why we don't answer many questions about this form of sexual play. But if you both are into water sports and truly mutually consent to it, there’s nothing wrong or dangerous about it. Urine is sterile, i.e., not contaminated by bacteria, so there's nothing medically dangerous about water sports--even if one lover urinates in the other’s mouth, which a tiny fraction of people enjoy. However, it may not be possible to urinate inside your lover’s vagina or anus as she requests. The penis contains a valve which allows urine to flow, but not semen, when the penis is flaccid, and semen to ejaculate, but no urine flow, when it’s erect. So you can’t urinate when you have an erection. It may be physiologically possible to urinate inside her vagina or anus shortly after you come, but you personally may not be able to. Some men simply can’t relax the muscles that allow urination shortly after ejaculating, especially if the penis is still inside a woman. If you can, there’s nothing medically hazardous about introducing urine into her anus. But the vagina has a delicate chemical balance that urine might upset--and make your lover more prone to vaginal irritation or infection.
