Are penis pumps safe to use?
Question: I'm a 27-year-old man who recently purchased a penis pump to increase my sexual pleasure and my wife's pleasure. She seems to enjoy the fullness that it gives me and I like the extra sensitivity it provides. However, can you tell me: Are there any long term side effects of using a pump? Any complications for the man with regular use?
Answer: To the best of our knowledge, no pump complications have ever been reported. Penis pumps were originally developed to help impotent men produce erections firm enough to allow intercourse. Their use as sex toys came later. Many research teams have studied the effectiveness of penis pumps for men with impotence caused by such conditions as diabetes and paraplegia. None have reported any significant side effects when pumps are used properly. Of course, misuse might cause problems, so follow the directions and use your pump carefully. But no study has ever raised questions about pump safety and if Xandria.com had any doubts about the safety of these devices, we wouldn't sell them.
